Strathclyde Business School in Glasgow is offering Faculty of Science Scholarship for the online masters students for the January 2025 intake. These scholarship of £1,800 will be awarded to new students joining one of the online programmes in the Faculty of Science in the 2024/2025 academic year starting January 2025. The last date to register for this scholarship is December 12, 2024.
In order to be considered for the Strathclyde Business School Faculty of Science Online Masters Scholarship, candidates must be a new student holding an offer of admission for an online MSc in the Faculty of Science for the January 2025 intake and be self-funded. Students who receive full scholarships, for example from a government office or embassy, will not be considered for this scholarship.
Applicants who have been awarded a scholarship will be notified within four weeks of submitting a scholarship application form. To receive the scholarship, awardees must enrol in year one of an online masters degree in the 2024/ 2025 academic year, commencing January 2025 and continue to meet all of the above eligibility criteria throughout their studies.
Online masters degrees in the Faculty of Science are studied part-time over three years. The scholarship will be awarded towards the payment of a student’s tuition fee as a £600 award in each of the three years of study, or a £900 award in each of the two years of study, subject to academic progression.
Successful candidates will be selected on their academic performance (current and/or previously gained), any relevant extra-curricular or professional experience alongside their scholarship application form.
Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with online student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting online student recruitment activities. The awards are available for an online masters only, on campus masters degrees are not eligible, an official statement said adding that students who defer their offer of admission will not be eligible.
Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis. Awards may be allocated early in the application cycle. Students are only eligible to hold one scholarship per academic year from the University of Strathclyde and the Faculty of Science’s decision on the awarding of scholarships is final. Appeals will not be considered, it added.
