Clara Campbell, right, is presented with a $500 scholarship by Stephanie Rief after being selected as the Selkirk Association of Realtors’ Senior Finance Fair essay winner. Each year, the association asks that the seniors in attendance write a one-page essay about three things they learned from attending the finance fair, which focuses on real-life scenarios and circumstances that students will face after graduation. This year’s winner was Clara Campbell, who intends to attend college at Brigham Young University or the University of Utah.

Each student is given a mock identity with a unique budget based on their prescribed age, income, family structure and job. Seniors were forced to choose when to splurge and when to be frugal to make the most of their money without going into debt.
