The 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available at studentaid.gov/fafsa
Oakland University students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA to become eligible for federal, state and institutional aid, including grants, scholarships, loans and the federal work-study program.
“It is important for students complete the 2025-26 FAFSA now, rather than waiting,” said OU’s Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships Nicole Boelk. “Receipt of a student’s FAFSA allows our office to provide students with financial aid information before they start registering for next fall semester.”
OU offers more than 350 scholarships based on various criteria, including academic achievement, financial need, program of study and extracurricular activities. Students can apply for OU scholarships through March 1, 2025.
“OU students are fortunate to have so many additional scholarship opportunities available to them,” Boelk said. “We want to see every OU undergraduate and graduate student complete the application to give themselves a chance to receive additional scholarship funding.”
Current or prospective OU undergraduate and graduate students who need help completing the FAFSA or OU Annual Scholarship Application can call, email or visit the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships to speak with an adviser or register for a virtual FAFSA Workshop. OUWB medical students who need help renewing their FAFSA can visit OUWB Financial Services.
For more information about the FAFSA, visit oakland.edu/fafsa or contact OU’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at (248) 370-2550 or [email protected].
