At a recent meeting, the Swoyersville Kiwanis Club presented the 2025 Scholarship Awards to local high school seniors.
Thanks to the support from communities, these awards continue annually.
Three Kiwanis awards in the amount of $1000 were given to assist each student with their future education.
The Breznay Memorial Scholarship Award in the amount of $1000 was given by family member Ken Breznay in memory of his parents and lifetime Swoyersville residents, Gene and Eleanor Breznay.
The Rev. John Chmil, pastor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, joined the meeting to offer a blessing and best wishes in their future endeavors.
