Luke Roque, a Tacoma resident and University of Idaho student, has been awarded a scholarship through the PGA Works John & Tamara Lundgren Scholars Program.
The PGA of America Reach Foundation, the association’s charitable arm, awarded scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year to 15 students across nine colleges. The $8,000 scholarships were given to students pursuing PGA of America membership through one of the 16 accredited PGA Golf Management University Programs nationwide.
Scholarship recipients must be pursuing bachelor’s degrees in a golf-industry-related major, with the goal of obtaining PGA of America membership. A total of 108 PGA Works Golf Management University scholarships have been awarded, totaling $864,000, since 2018.
Scholarship recipients were chosen based on academic performance, leadership shown through involvement in school and community activities, honors and work experience, a statement of goals and aspirations, special personal or family circumstances, an external evaluation, active participation in golf, and playing skill, a release said.
