Tee Foundation Assistance Network to host fundraiser for college scholarship – Mainstreet Daily News Gainesville
The Tee Foundation Assistance Network, Ruth and Walter Jenkins family and the Minnie and Samuel Wheeler family will hold its fundraiser brunch on Nov. 8 for the Tiawana Michele Wheeler Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund at Bethune-Cookman University.
The endowed scholarship raised $10,250 last year and hopes to break that number to support Alachua County students who want to pursue a higher education. The fund focuses on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The brunch will happen from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church (1515 NE 15th St., Gainesville) and include a message delivered by Alachua County Commissioner Charles “Chuck” Chestnut IV.

Attendees will also learn more about Tiawana, who died in 1991, including her connection with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Tickets for the event are $50. Larger sponsorships are available, and the largest sponsor will also be the presenting sponsor for the event.
