The Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County will host its tenth annual Cash for College event on Monday, December 2 at the Findlay Toyota Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. This free event will provide opportunities for local students, their families, and educators to learn more about post-secondary scholarships for both traditional and non-traditional students.
Through ACF’s online scholarship system, students are matched with more than 160 scholarship opportunities for which they qualify. ACF is the largest private scholarship provider in the state. Application requirements for scholarships that were established specifically for area students will be explained during the events. Last year, nearly $230,000 in scholarships was awarded to Yavapai County students from ACF last year.
The Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County was established in 1993 as a permanent philanthropic endowment for the enduring benefit of Yavapai County. This family of charitable funds is guided by a local Board of Advisors and benefits from the cost-efficient, centralized professional services ACF provides.
Established in 1978, the Arizona Community Foundation is a statewide family of charitable funds supported by thousands of Arizonans. With five regional offices serving communities across Arizona, ACF is among the top 25 community foundations in the nation with more than $1.3 billion in trust and endowment assets and is certified under the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations. Since inception, ACF has awarded more than $1.3 billion in grants, scholarships, and loans to nonprofit organizations, schools, tribal entities, and government agencies.
