CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. – The Chincoteague Cultural Alliance hosted a cookie sale to raise money toward scholarships. The fundraiser is for graduates of Chincoteague High School.
The holiday sale had over 35 kinds of homemade cookies baked by local volunteers from the alliance.
Head cookie wrangler Annie Lambert tells WMDT that this event is for a good cause and creates community engagement
“You see your neighborhood; you see your community. This event is mostly attended by locals, although everybody is always welcome. Also, it is a way for a brief community get-together in addition to supporting the local scholarship program.”
The CCA is always looking for more volunteers, if interested click here.
