TAYLORVILLE — The First National Bank of Pana is pleased to award The Dixon Zeigler Scholarship to Grayson Good as presented by Frank McChristy, the bank’s Controller and Assistant Trust Officer. Grayson is the daughter of Jeff and Susan Good. She is a 2025 graduate of Taylorville High School and will be attending Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield. She then plans to transfer to the University of Illinois Urbana- Champaign to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Animal science. While attending Taylorville High School, Grayson has participated in volleyball, soccer, tennis, CEO, Purple Reign, as well as volunteering in many community activities.
Dixon Zeigler farmed in the Stonington area for many years. Upon his death in 2015, his wishes included the establishment of an education trust for deserving graduates of the Taylorville High School, residing in the last boundaries of the former Stonington School District when it was annexed to the Taylorville CUSD #3 in the year 1992. In addition to residing in the former Stonington School District, the student must have graduated in the top one-half of their Taylorville High School graduating class and must be enrolled as a full-time student in a college in the State of Illinois.
The Dixon Zeigler Scholarship will provide $2,500.00 per semester for four years, or until the student has earned their undergraduate degree, if earned in less than four years.
