The George Snow Scholarship Fund is proud to announce that in 2025, they have awarded over $5.5 million in scholarships and Scholar Support Services to 374 deserving students in South Florida. These financial commitments reflect our community’s continued dedication to supporting local students with financial need.
When the 2025 class received the exciting news of their scholarships, they were welcomed into what GSSF proudly calls the ‘Snow Family’. At GSSF, support doesn’t end with a scholarship check; it begins there. Much like a parent supports their child, GSSF is committed to walking alongside each Snow Scholar throughout their college journey, offering comprehensive Scholar Support Services designed to ensure their success. With more than half of this year’s recipients being first-generation college students, these added layers of support are especially critical.
To prepare the 2025 class for their first year of college, GSSF hosted a High School to College Transition Orientation where local professionals volunteered their time to speak on topics such as financial literacy, career development, and adjusting to campus life. At the end of the day, Scholars were sent home with Scholar Packs. Scholar Packs are large rolling duffel bags filled with dorm essentials, school supplies, and the Scholar’s choice of either a brand-new laptop or a college supply stipend check. Additionally, Snow Scholars will have access to the following Scholar Support Services: Care Packages, Coaching and Career Development Curriculum, College Physicals and Meningitis Vaccines, Emergency Funds, Financial Counseling, Legal Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Monday Motivational Messages, Professional Headshots, Scholar Closet, Snow Family LinkedIn Group, and Snow Family Master Classes. They can count on GSSF for guidance and support throughout their educational careers and beyond!
GSSF is able to award these scholarships thanks to the goodwill of local individuals, companies, and organizations who believe in the transformative power of higher education, not just for students, but for the future of our workforce. In addition to their scholarship donors, GSSF owes a special debt of gratitude to their community partners, selection committee members, and volunteers for making education possible. Their collective commitment plays a pivotal role in shaping their futures. The George Snow Scholarship Fund proudly celebrates their 2025 scholarship awards alongside each of their dedicated supporters.
This fall, applications for the 2026 scholarship selection process will open on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at scholarship.org. GSSF’s Scholar Services Department will visit high schools in Palm Beach County and Broward County throughout October, November, and December this year to help high school seniors apply for the scholarship. Interested seniors can ask their high school counselor about signing up to attend The George Snow Scholarship Fund’s Presentation.
