The Mastercard Foundation 2026 Innovation and Technology Scholarship – Global South Opportunities

The Mastercard Foundation, in partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), invites applications for the 2026 Innovation and Technology Scholarship. This prestigious initiative aims to empower young African professionals through access to world-class graduate education in technology, innovation, and development.
Over the next five years (2025–2030), the program will support 160 talented individuals to pursue online master’s degrees offered by ASU. What makes this opportunity unique is its hybrid model—students will benefit from the flexibility of ASU’s online learning while receiving in-person academic and professional support through Kepler College in Rwanda. This partnership ensures a holistic experience that integrates digital education with mentorship, leadership training, and community engagement.
For the 2026/2027 academic year, 40 fully funded scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, and living expenses for a two-year master’s program, ensuring that Scholars can focus entirely on their academic and professional development.
Beyond financial support, Scholars will gain access to a comprehensive development experience that includes:
