The Missouri Corn Growers Association and Missouri Corn Merchandising Council are proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 Missouri Corn Scholarship. Each student will receive a $1,000 scholarship to support their college education.
High school seniors from Missouri and college students entering their senior year pursuing degrees in agronomy or related fields were eligible for this scholarship. The Missouri Corn Scholarship Committee evaluated the candidates based on essays, applications, letters of reference, current grades, and extracurricular activities.
The 2024 Missouri Corn Scholarship recipients are:
Brandon Thiel of Marshall, a former scholarship recipient and now a board member, expressed his admiration for the current recipients. “As a former scholarship recipient and now board member, I am so glad I did not have to compete with this pool of applicants,” he said. “Today’s young agriculture leaders are already making an impact, and Missouri Corn is excited to support them in reaching their educational goals. We look forward to seeing them grow within Missouri’s agriculture industry.”
The committee includes Missouri Corn board members Adam Casner of Carrollton, Greg Bertz of Mayview, and Jim Boerding of St. Charles. This year marks the twenty-eighth year that Missouri Corn Scholarships have been awarded to students studying agriculture. Applications for the 2025 Missouri Corn Scholarship Program will be available online by December 15, 2024.
