The Thompson Health Guild has awarded scholarships to six high school seniors pursuing careers in health care, continuing a tradition of supporting the next generation of medical professionals.
The $2,000 scholarships were presented during the Guild’s Annual Dinner on May 22 to students from across the region who plan to enter various health-related fields. Each recipient must complete their first college semester successfully to retain the scholarship.

The Thompson Health Guild is the auxiliary arm of UR Medicine Thompson Health. It raises funds to support equipment purchases, capital campaigns, and community programs for patients, residents, staff, and local families.
During the annual meeting, held at Ferris Hills at West Lake, the Guild also presented the F.F. Thompson Foundation with a $40,000 donation to help develop a memory care unit at Clark Meadows, the community’s enriched living facility.
