Thanks to the generosity of many donors, West Central seniors were selected to receive prestigious awards and scholarships totaling $20,000 Tuesday evening, a mere five days before the Class of 2025 receives their diploma.
Presented by guidance counselor Steve Milder, 13 West Central seniors were recognized by staff and community members with family and friends in attendance.
Four were especially recognized for earning their Associate of Arts degree through Northeast Iowa Community College while dual enrolled in high school. Those awardees will be walking with the NICC Class of 2025 as well today, Thursday, May 15. This includes Brooklyn Cavnar, Emma Munley, Grace Recker and Abby Sieck.

In total, the senior class earned 420 different college credits, saving families around $87,780 total in tuition.
