Three Rivers College Murder Mystery Dinner raises funds for student scholarships – KFVS12

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) – Three Rivers College’s annual Murder Mystery Dinner is set for Saturday and Sunday, November 1-2.
Tickets are sold out for the Saturday performance, but as of October 28, there are 13 tickets left for Sunday.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Ballroom in Poplar Bluff. The show begins at 2 p.m.
This year’s performance is “Trouble in Deadwood” by Robert J. LaBlanc. The story is set in 1876, and attendees must try to figure out “who dun it” between six different wild west characters.
Organizers say there will be a catered meal by Tasteful Creations, a dessert raffle with treats by Confection Perfection, a silent auction and a chance to win a prize.
Tickets are $50 a piece or $400 for a table of eight. Click here to purchase.
Michelle Reynolds with Three Rivers College said all proceeds go toward student scholarships.
“As we’ve all seen, right now so many people are feeling the pinch. We’re seeing more and more of a need for that student aid, just for those students to be able to continue coming to school, so to be able to have those funds to really help make an impact…is a wonderful thing.”
Reynolds said the growing popularity of the event could lead organizers to move to a larger venue in the future.
