WEST LAFAYETTE −Raiden Medley, Alaina Swiney and Corey Curt received $1,000 scholarships during the annual West Lafayette-Ridgewood Alumni banquet.
Honored classes were 1944, 1954, 1964, 1974 and 1984. There are two surviving members of the Class of 1944, Alfred Huff, who was in attendance, and William Shurtz.
Greg Lower, representing the Class of 1974, presented $3,000 to Cathy McCrea of the WLRAA committee for the Ridgewood Blessing Bag initiative. Ridgewood Local Schools and West Lafayette United Methodist Church partner on the program to address food insecurities of students when classes are not in session.
Next year’s banquet will be held on June 7.
