Peyton Toon was awarded the inaugural $1,500 scholarship from the Bob Danby Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund was started by a group of regular golfers at Paxton Park who contribute to the fund each time they play, in honor of Bob Danby, a former member of the group.
The scholarship fund hopes to award multiple scholarships in 2026 to local high school golfers who plan to continue to play at the collegiate level. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the scholarship fund may do so by contacting Paxton Park.
