The town of Silverthorne awarded $52,500 in scholarships to graduating seniors at Summit High School’s Scholarship Night on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
The Schmidt Scholarship, named for former Silverthorne Mayor Bill Schmidt, was awarded to 22 seniors from Silverthorne. All graduating seniors who are residents of the town of Silverthorne and have either a minimum GPA of 2.75 and are attending a four-year accredited school, or a minimum GPA of 2.0 and are attending a technical/trade school or earning an associate’s degree, were eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applicants must have also demonstrated good citizenship, activity in school and community programs and an ability to succeed in their chosen field.
Town of Silverthorne 2025 scholarship recipients included: Mia Rodriguez Moina, Andrea Alvarez, Alexis Valenzuela, Andrea Ibarra, Jesse Wiono, Bryce Oppito, Arlette Enriquez Pizarro, Bradley Castro, Ashley Smith, Cassie Alford, Wesley Drake, Justin Jones, Lucas Comcowich-Via, Allyn Quinonez, Adri Rascon, Alejandro Baray Jain, Alexander Strachan, Chris Ortiz Veleta, Tegan Snyder, Logan Dietz, Ariana Vazquez Rojas, Noel Estrada.
