POTTSVILLE – Sixteen Tri-County Youth Football League alumni are receiving $100 scholarships and nine of them were on-hand for a recognition ceremony recently.
The youth football league consists of 16 teams from east-central Pennsylvania.
Scholarship recipients must have played in the TCYFL for a minimum of three years and continued at the high school level for four years.
“These athletes exemplify leadership, sportsmanship, and are true team players,” the league said in a release.
Local recipients included Kolton Joyce, Frackville; John Mogish, Ashland; and Jagr Delaney, Mount Carmel.
