The Tribury Rotary Club recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Lincoln Nichols of Woodbury. Lincoln is the son of Bret and Megin Nichols and will be attending Ave Maria University in Florida where he plans to study business and finance. Lincoln’s selection was based on his demonstrated academic and leadership skills while attending Nonnewaug High School. While serving as captain of the school’s soccer, basketball and track teams, he also maintained a leadership role in the National Honor Society.
His community service included volunteering for Woodbury’s Haunted Hayride, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Youth Basketball Camps. His entrepreneur skills allowed him to also start a basketball training business and drone photography/videography business. The Tribury Rotary Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
