West Marshall senior Natalie Nichols was named the Class 3A recipient of the 2025 Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) Student Athlete Achievement Award during the Iowa girls’ state basketball tournament March 7 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Nichols started in 23 of 24 games for West Marshall, which qualified for the state tournament and finished with a 19-6 record. One student from each class was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the IBA. Scholarship recipients are selected each year based on their academic performance, athletic participation, leadership skills and community involvement.
