TRUMBULL, CT — Sikorsky Credit Union recently announced two Trumbull students are among the recipients of the 2025 Thomas J. Williams Scholarship.
According to a news release provided by Sikorsky Credit Union, five outstanding high school seniors have each been awarded a $1,000 scholarship to support their pursuit of higher education.
The Thomas J. Williams Scholarship honors the legacy of longtime CEO Thomas J. Williams, who died in 2015, according to Sikorsky Credit Union.
The scholarship is awarded annually to graduating seniors who are members of credit union and plan to continue their education.
To qualify, applicants submitted an essay sharing an important money management lesson they learned from Sikorsky Credit Union.
The committee carefully evaluated the submissions and selected five recipients based on the strength of their essays, according to the credit union.

In addition to the scholarship program, Sikorsky Credit Union remains dedicated to promoting financial literacy to teenagers through initiatives such as financial reality fairs, according to the credit union. These events provide local high school students with hands-on experience in managing personal finances and emphasizing the importance of budgeting.
“Our scholarship program reflects our commitment in helping the next generation of members build a strong foundation for their future,” Sikorsky Credit Union CEO Vincent Ciambriello said in a news release. “It’s inspiring to see the positive impact we’ve had on these young adults over the years, and we feel honored to play a role in their academic journey.
