CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – City of Promise is giving two Charlottesville City School seniors money to help begin their next chapters.
Applications are open for two $1000 scholarships.
It is available to any 2024 graduate of Charlottesville City Schools who is a first-generation or low-income student planning to attend a two or four-year college or vocational school or start a career.
”I think sometimes people often see high school graduation as an endpoint milestone which it is,” City of Promise Executive Director Price Thomas said. “It’s an incredible milestone but the thought is what happens next.”
The deadline for applications is July 14.
Winners will be announced at City of Promise’s Gamechangers event on August 1.
