The Oak Ridge Education Association gave the inaugural OREA Haygood-Reddick Scholarship to Sonja Peeples and Morgan Perry. Every year, a student whose parent is a member of OREA will be given a $1,000 scholarship.
The scholarship is named after Mike Haygood and Steve Reddick, two past presidents of the association, according to a news release.
