The University of Queensland (UQ), one of Australia’s top research institutions, has announced the Master of Finance and Investment Management Outstanding Women Scholarship for the 2025 academic year. This partial scholarship aims to empower high-achieving women who aspire to build a career in finance.
Open to applicants of all nationalities, the scholarship provides financial assistance of $10,000 (AUD) towards tuition fees for the Master of Finance and Investment Management, a one-year taught programme. The initiative seeks to encourage greater female participation in the financial industry and to support future leaders who demonstrate not only academic excellence, but also a clear commitment to leadership and community impact.
To be eligible, applicants must identify as female and be commencing the Master of Finance and Investment Management at UQ in 2025. As part of the application process, candidates are required to submit a CV and a short video (up to 5 minutes) outlining their motivations, a personal or professional challenge they have overcome, and how they have contributed to their workplace or community.

Also, candidates should note that this scholarship will cover only a portion of their study costs. For international students, 2025 tuition for the course is approximately $53,760 in Australian dollars (AUD), and students will also need to budget about $2,000 to $4,000 (AUD) a month to cover accommodation and other expenses.
