HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) announced a new scholarship for graduates of Space Camp® at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, offering up to $8,000 in financial support for students pursuing undergraduate degrees at UAH.
The UAH Space Camp Scholarship is open to students who complete programs such as Aviation Challenge Mach III, Advanced Space Academy, or the U.S. Advanced Cyber Academy, and begin full-time enrollment immediately after high school graduation. In-state recipients receive $1,000 per year, while out-of-state students receive $2,000, renewable for up to four years if academic requirements are met.
“This scholarship reflects UAH’s deep connection to space, science, and innovation,” said Dr. Michael Poll, vice provost for enrollment management at UAH. “Space Camp does more than inspire—it equips students with the foundational skills and mindset needed for success in STEM. By connecting these young innovators to institutions like UAH, we’re helping prepare the next generation of engineers, scientists, and technology leaders who will power the region’s future.”
Scholarship awards can be combined with other academic aid, and eligible students receive a certificate confirming their status after completing Space Camp.
UAH and the Space & Rocket Center said the scholarship strengthens their shared mission to inspire and prepare the next generation of STEM leaders.
Students or families can find more information on UAH’s Scholarships page or contact the Office of Admissions at 256-824-2773 or admissions@uah.edu.
