MISSOULA, Mont. — University of Montana Western student Victoria Pehlke has earned a Sigma Tau Delta scholarship, a national award recognizing academic excellence in English studies and active involvement in campus life. Pehlke is pursuing a double major in English and business, along with minors in pop culture studies and professional writing.
The scholarship highlights her dedication both inside and outside the classroom. At Montana Western, Pehlke has served as a TRIO Advisor and peer tutor, while also standing out for her strong academic record.
Faculty members report Pehlke has shown consistent growth, initiative and confidence throughout her college career. Her work in creative writing, along with projects that combine literature and multimedia, demonstrate her drive to explore new ways of expressing ideas and strengthening her skills as a writer.
Pehlke plans to pursue a career in publishing, with long-term goals of becoming an editor or literary agent.
