The United Way of Lamar County (UWLC) once again is offering four scholarships for graduating high school seniors in Lamar County.
Students can apply for a $500 Academic Scholarship, a $500 CTE Scholarship, a $500 First Generation to College Scholarship or a four-year $1000 per year Education Major Scholarship (total of $4000) for those entering the teaching field.
Applications for each of the scholarships are available through the high school counselors office or by emailing UWLC Education and Youth Programs coordinator Sabrina Rosson at srossonuwlc@gmail.com.  Applications are due April, 18, 2025 and may be emailed, dropped off at the UWLC office located at 2340 Lamar Avenue or mailed to PO Box 1, Paris, Texas 75461.
The UWLC Scholarship program began in 2018 and is a reflection of the United Way’s commitment to education and youth opportunities.  For more information on any of the United Way of Lamar County’s programs, visit www.lamarcountyuw.org or call the office at 903-784-6642.
