Her impressive track record includes leadership roles as the Student Director of the Lehman Limelighters A Capella Choir, President of the Stock Club, and Founder/President of the Mock Trial team. Ryan aims to combine her degrees in English and Finance to specialize in corporate law or financial regulations.
Macey Land, from Miamisburg High School, will be joining Miami University with a major in Arts and Sciences, specializing in Zoology. Her musical talents shine through her involvement in the Marching Band and Winds Symphony. Macey’s dedication to academics is evident in her exceptional performance in Honors English and French classes. She aspires to build a career in Zoology while continuing her passion for music in Miami University’s Marching Band.
Ava Peck, a graduate of Chaminade Julienne High School, will begin her studies at Morehead State University, majoring in Interior Design. Ava actively participated in programs such as Faith Leaders in God’s Hands Today, Eagle Ambassadors, and the National Honor Society. Her commitment extends beyond academics, as she spearheaded fundraisers for community and school activities. Ava plans to obtain her real estate license while focusing on her Interior Design degree.
The Glen R Kershner Memorial Scholarship was established by U1 in 2004 to support high school student credit union members pursuing higher education. Named after Glen R Kershner, a close friend, mentor, and colleague at U1, the scholarship honors his legacy of promoting youth financial literacy, school outreach, and scholarship programs. U1 congratulates Ryan, Macey, and Ava on their accomplishments and wishes them success in their future endeavors.
