The University of Strathclyde has launched a number of scholarships for independent international (non-EU) students who are joining full-time, campus-based postgraduate taught programmes in the Faculty of Engineering for September 2025 entry.
Successful award holders will have a cash award of £5,000 credited to tuition fees. No additional application is necessary, as the scholarship will be awarded automatically when the deposit payment is received. Scholarship information will be altered in the student record, with the cash being offset against the total tuition fees.

Eligibility criteria:
– Open to international (non-EU) students paying their fees themselves.
– Applicants should have a full-time postgraduate taught course offered at the university’s Glasgow campus for September 2025.
– The scholarship cannot be transferred or deferred to an alternative entry point.
– Candidates with full sponsorship by a government or embassy are excluded.
– No more than one scholarship per year can be given.
– Students who do not meet the eligibility requirements will not be considered. – The Faculty of Engineering’s decision on scholarship allocation is final.
Dean’s International Excellence Awards:
Also, a limited number of Dean’s International Excellence Awards are available to exceptional students. These awards are worth £7,000 and £10,000, awarded to deserving applicants on academic merit. Candidates eligible for the award would automatically be considered and informed by July 31, 2025, if selected.
Applicants must normally be UK graduates (or international equivalents) with a first-class undergraduate degree and show potential to contribute significantly to the university community throughout their studies and subsequently in their professions.
