University of Toronto Opens Applications for Elite Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship – Al-Fanar Media
The University of Toronto is now accepting applications for the prestigious Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship, one of the most competitive awards for exceptional international students. Open to citizens of all Arab countries and other international applicants, the scholarship recognises outstanding academic achievement, creativity, and leadership, while supporting students who aspire to make a meaningful global impact.
This full scholarship covers tuition fees, books, incidental costs, and residence support for four years of undergraduate study at the University of Toronto. Each year, around 37 students are selected as Pearson Scholars, joining a diverse community of young innovators and leaders dedicated to positive change.
To be eligible, applicants must be international students requiring a study permit, in their final year of high school or recently graduated no earlier than June 2025, and applying for their first undergraduate programme beginning in September 2026. Crucially, candidates must be nominated by their school, which may put forward only one student each year.
The application process includes a school nomination (deadline: 10 October 2025), a University of Toronto admission application (deadline: 17 October 2025), and the scholarship application (deadline: 7 November 2025).
