EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The University of Texas at El Paso held its third annual fundraising block party.
On Wednesday, UTEP's "Raise Your Pick Giving Day Block Party" had free food, live music, games and live entertainment to drum up excitement and raise funds for scholarships and dozens of university programs and initiatives.
UTEP's Associate Vice President for Development Lori Cook spoke about the importance of donating, saying that the monies raise in these events make a difference.
As of Wednesday afternoon, according to UTEP's Raise Your Pick Giving Day 2025 website, the university has raised $343,353.
The deadline to donate is Wednesday at 8 p.m.
