UWorld, a provider of academic and professional education, has announced the opening of applications for its UWorld Accounting and Finance Scholarship.
This initiative is designed to support aspiring accounting and finance professionals by providing resources to excel in their certification exams.
The scholarship programme awards 20 course scholarships each year, with ten available in the spring and another ten in the autumn.
The scholarship recipients will have the chance to select from Elite-Unlimited courses, which now include CMA review courses in addition to the existing CPA and CFA courses.
This expansion builds upon UWorld’s successful scholarship initiatives over the past ten years, which have provided hundreds of scholarships to aid candidates in their professional development.
UWorld founder and CEO Chandra Pemmasani said: “Our accounting and finance scholarship helps students build confidence and bolster the critical thinking skills they need to succeed on their exams the first time they take them.

The application period for the spring scholarships is currently open, with a deadline of 31 March 2025.
The successful candidates will be announced in the first week of April, and the scholarships will be distributed by 30 April 2025.
In addition, the UWorld Accounting and Finance Scholarship is part of UWorld Cares, the company’s philanthropic arm focused on fostering educational success and contributing to the community.
Since 2020, UWorld has committed $12.8m in product scholarships to support students and professionals in achieving their educational goals.
The latest announcement comes after UWorld recently launched the UWorld Cares Community Grants programme, which provides financial assistance to Dallas/Fort Worth-based non-profit organisations.
