OSHKOSH (WLUK) — Since Friday, UW-Oshkosh has been asking its alumni to take part in the school's third annual donation event called "Titans Day of Giving."
“Titans Day of Giving is a way for us to really engage with our alums, with our community, with our supporters and partners across Northeast Wisconsin to keep them engaged with the university and raise funds for all the great programs we’ve got here," said Provost Ed Martini.

Those donations set at a goal of $150,000, which was passed Monday afternoon — blowing past the year's previous goal of $100,000.
Martini said the funds are spread throughout the university.
“It runs the gambit. We’ve got scholarships, we’ve got direct support of our colleges, our schools, our academic programs," he explained. "We’ve got athletics, we’ve got marching band, we’ve got the Titan Emergency Fund, which is just a little bit of money sometimes for students to help them get through the semester and get on to what’s next.”
Those programs include the College of Public Affairs and Education. The dean of the college, Anne Stevens, said the donations have been making a difference for their students.
“We have a match that’s ongoing for the School of Education Human Services Impact Fund, which supports emergency grants for students that can be as small as $50 to wipe out a library fee or a couple hundred dollars for some tuition," Stevens told FOX 11.

Seon Yoon Chung, dean of the College of Nursing, Health Professions and STEM, has already seen the impact of previous days of giving.
“In the past, when we were in the college of nursing, the funds have been used to really upgrade the simulation labs," she said. "If you go through our lab, you’ll be able to see the mannequins that really mimic a real-life human, and so our students can get that real life experience.”
Martini added that scholarships change lives for the students, no matter how big or small a donation.
