The National Safety Council and Boeing have awarded 50 scholarships to veterans pursuing careers in environmental, health and safety.
The National Safety Council, in partnership with Boeing, has awarded 50 U.S. veterans the 2025 Advanced Safety Certificate® (ASC) Scholarship, supporting their transition into professional careers in environmental, health and safety (EHS).
The scholarship program, which covers the full cost of obtaining the ASC certificate, aims to bolster the pipeline of skilled workers entering the EHS field. Veterans selected for the scholarship have demonstrated a strong commitment to protecting others.
“NSC is thrilled to help these future safety leaders take the next step on their professional journeys,” said Lorraine Martin, president, and CEO of NSC. “With Boeing’s support, the 50 veterans awarded these scholarships will continue to serve their nation by living out the NSC mission of saving lives, from the workplace to anyplace.”
Scholarship recipients receive free enrollment in the ASC program, registration, and travel accommodations for the 2025 NSC Congress & Expo in Denver, and career networking resources upon program completion.
“Boeing recognizes the exceptional skills and dedication that veterans bring to the workforce,” said Amy May, vice president of Boeing Environment, Health, and Safety. “Supporting the scholarship is an investment in their future, and of our workplaces and communities.”
The ASC program is nationally recognized for providing critical insights into industry best practices and the skills necessary to drive safety improvements. By offering scholarships, NSC and Boeing are helping veterans build careers that continue their commitment to safeguarding others.
