VICKSBURG, Miss.(VDN) — Several Vicksburg High School football players have picked up new scholarship offers ahead of the upcoming season, Head Coach Christopher Lacey announced on Facebook this week.
Senior offensive lineman Jaydon Lee recently received his first offer from Hinds Community College after attending the school’s football camp. He is one of several Gators linemen being recognized for their performance and potential.
Joining Lee in earning offers are fellow linemen Darius Stamps, Shaun Archer Jr. and Karter Thomas. Stamps received an offer from Mississippi Delta Community College, while Thomas picked up an offer from Howard Huskies Prep Post.
Archer has drawn the most attention so far, collecting offers from five schools: Mississippi Valley State, Alcorn State, Mississippi Delta CC, Itawamba CC and Mississippi Gulf Coast CC. Coach Lacey noted that four of his five starting offensive linemen now hold scholarship offers.
It’s not just linemen making noise. Upcoming junior Jadarius Henderson also received offers from Southwest Mississippi Community College, Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Sussex Community College. Henderson, a standout on defense, finished last season with 70 tackles and two sacks.
The Gators will kick off their 2025 season on Aug. 29 with a road game against Natchez High School. It will be Lacey’s third year at the helm as head coach.
