VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — The Vicksburg Warren Alcorn Alumni Chapter awarded $4,500 in scholarships to recent high school graduates during the ninth annual Celebrity Basketball Game, held Sunday at Warren Central High School.
Three students received $1,000 scholarships, and three others were awarded $500 scholarships.
Kennedy Davis (Watts Foundation Scholarship), Kamaya Jones (Wiley Book Scholarship), and Amiyah Montgomery (Wiley Book Scholarship) each received $500 awards.
Montgomery, along with Kynnade Washington and Michael White, also received $1,000 Alumni Chapter Scholarships.
“Thank you to the Class of 2025 high school seniors in Warren and Claiborne counties who applied for scholarships,” said Alumni Chapter President Mary Peoples. “It was evident that you took pride in writing impressive essays and made sure to submit documents in a timely fashion. 2026 scholarship applications will be available around March 2026.”
