Dien Bien province in northern Vietnam is forging closer educational ties with Russian universities to enhance human resource development and expand scholarship opportunities for local students. This is reported by Vietnam News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
Recently Vietnam welcomed a delegation from leading Russian universities to discuss collaboration on education, vocational training, and cultural exchange programmes.
The countries also explored joint initiatives such as collaborative scientific research, lecturer exchanges, and specialised training programmes in fields like medical sciences. Representatives from top Russian universities showcased their academic strengths and affirmed their commitment to supporting Vietnamese students.
Currently, around 5,000 Vietnamese students are enrolled in nearly 200 Russian universities, predominantly on government scholarships. According to the source, the collaboration between Dien Bien and Russian universities is seen as a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral ties in education and training, opening up new opportunities for knowledge exchange and human resource development.
