Gbadamassi says he is thankful for this honor as it will have a major impact on his future finances.
“I was speechless when I found out that I’d been chosen,” Gbadamassi said. “I put a lot of time and effort into my application, and I’m thankful for the opportunity that this scholarship presents, in allowing me to grow and further my education.”
District Multicultural Services Coordinator Andrea Jones nominated him for the scholarship and says he is a very determined young man.
“He’s selfless, he’s a leader, and he’s been a role model for many of the younger students at VPM, particularly those in the Black Student Union,” said Jones. “I’m proud that he’s being recognized with this scholarship, and I’m excited to see him continue to follow his dreams at the next level.”
Out of 100 applicants, he was selected for the award.
