ARKANSAS, USA — The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville has received a $5 million gift from The Willard & Pat Walker Charitable Foundation to support the Land of Opportunity Scholarship endowment.
Established to increase educational access for students from all 75 counties in Arkansas, the Land of Opportunity Scholarship aims to strengthen partnerships between the university and businesses across the state. The scholarship is a three-year campaign that launched Nov. 12.
As of April 1, the campaign has raised 64% of its goal.
