{KXLG – Watertown, SD} American Bank & Trust (AB&T) has announced the awarding of 33 scholarships, each valued at $1,000, to graduating high school seniors across its operational footprint. Among the deserving recipients are Marli Wadsworth and Max Dylla from Watertown, SD.
The scholarship program supports students planning to attend an accredited college, university, vocational school, or community college full-time in South Dakota, North Dakota, or Minnesota.
Scott Erickson, President & Chief Executive Officer at American Bank & Trust, emphasized the broader vision behind the initiative. “Our vision goes beyond daily transactions – we’re here to create meaningful opportunities and make a lasting impact,” said Erickson. “This scholarship program is one of the many ways we invest in the future of our communities and support the success of the next generation.”
The program aims to help remove financial barriers and recognize academic potential, empowering students to pursue higher education in various fields such as business, healthcare, and skilled trades.
“We believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for growth,” Erickson added. “It’s our honor to celebrate these students and help launch them into a bright future.”
The 2025 recipients were selected from a highly qualified and diverse pool of applicants. Tehya Vig from Willow Lake was another student in the KXLG listening area.
Congratulations to all the 2025 scholarship recipients:
