WAVERLY, Iowa — The Waverly Health Center Auxiliary announced the recipients of its 2025 scholarships, awarding $20,000 to 18 students pursuing careers in health-related fields.
The scholarships are available to Waverly Health Center employees and residents in the WHC service area who have completed at least one year of education in a healthcare field.
“These recipients represent the future of compassionate, high-quality health care,” Melinda Pitt, WHC Volunteer Services Manager, said. “We are honored to support their journeys and invest in the health of our community.”
The Auxiliary funds these scholarships through annual membership gifts and events. Proceeds also support special projects at the health center.
Those interested in contributing to the scholarship fund can contact Melinda Pitt at 319-483-4076 or MPitt@WaverlyHealthCenter.org. Donations are tax-deductible and accepted year-round.
