The Women’s Civic League of Wapakoneta awarded four Wapakoneta High School Students $2000 each for scholarships. The students attended a dinner meeting where they shared their goals and future plans with the membership.

The league members were impressed with this year’s applicants. Elizabeth Sidener will attend the University of Cincinnati to begin her journey of becoming a surgeon. She is undecided on her specialty but is considering orthopedic surgery or neurosurgery. Axton Fosnaugh will be attending Indiana University East, where he will major in finance. He loves working with numbers and statistics. As a cross-country runner, he also would like to coach cross-country in the future. Caleb Patterson will attend Taylor University and Indiana Wesleyan University. He plans to earn a bachelor’s in biochemistry and eventually a Ph.D.
