WEST HAVEN, CT — A West Haven resident is among the six students from Connecticut State Community College to be awarded fall scholarships by the NASA CT Space Grant Consortium in recognition of their “academic excellence and career aspirations in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM),” according to a news release.
Each student will receive a $1,500 scholarship for tuition at their respective CT State campuses. To be eligible, students must be enrolled full-time at a NASA CTSGC academic affiliate institution, pursue a STEM major, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate strong academic and career goals and extracurricular involvement.
The following students have been selected as NASA CTSGC Community College Scholarship recipients, listed with their town of residence and home campus:
NASA CT Space Grant Consortium is a federally mandated grant, internship and scholarship program that is funded as part of NASA Education to encourage broader participation in NASA research programs.
