LUDINGTON – West Shore Bank recently announced the awarding of 10 $1,000 Making a Difference scholarships to high school graduates throughout its market region, which includes Mason, Oceana, Manistee, Benzie, Grand Traverse and Muskegon counties.
Over 60 applicants applied for the scholarships. They demonstrated strong academic performance, leadership, and a commitment to positively impacting their communities. The 10 selected recipients will use the scholarship funds to support tuition and related expenses as they pursue their higher education goals at the college or university of their choice.
Students included:
West Shore Bank representatives will present the scholarships in person at each recipient’s high school awards ceremony, taking place throughout the month of May.
“Supporting local students is one of the many ways we strive to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve,” said Ray Biggs, West Shore Bank president and CEO. “We are proud to recognize these outstanding individuals and invest in their bright futures.”
