The Westhaven Foundation recently awarded five Williamson County School alumni up to $17,500 in scholarships.
The foundation began in 2007 and seeks to help students who live in the Westhaven community or are students of Williamson County schools.  Additionally, it supports school programs and contributes to community-enhancing events and causes.
“These exceptional students represent a new generation of altruistic and service-minded individuals,” said Dana Hardy, a Westhaven Foundation board member and chair of the Scholarship Committee. “Their commitment to service and academic excellence makes them stellar representatives of our neighborhood and the greater Williamson County community, and we’re proud to support their educational journeys.”
Westhaven is an 1,500-acre-master-planned community featuring traditional neighborhood design in Franklin. The community also comprises a village center with restaurants, retail and gathering spaces.
The nonprofit raised the scholarship funds at its annual Porchfest Music Festival, which occurs every September in Westhaven. The recipients of the scholarships were chosen because of their academic excellence, how they embody community spirit and their generosity through noteworthy volunteerism.
The five recipients of the 2025 Excellence in Education Scholarships are:
Fountain Scholarship (awarded to high school graduates who reside in Westhaven):
Grimes Lift Scholarship (awarded to Williamson County Schools graduates):
Debbie Jones Memorial Nursing Scholarship: (awarded to Williamson County Schools graduates or college students from Williamson County pursuing a nursing degree):
