Mound Westonka High School hosted the annual Scholarship Awards Night on May 14, when 80 scholarships worth over $469,000 from 48 different donors were awarded to 68 members of the 2025 graduating class. Students and their families gathered in the Westonka Performing Arts Center to accept their scholarships, which came from both the local community and from donors across the country.
“We are truly honored to have such strong connections with individuals, organizations, and businesses that chose to invest in our graduating seniors,” said MWHS Principal Jolene Herfel. “When a senior receives a scholarship it provides financial support, and as equally important, they feel the pride of knowing their community stands behind them with confidence as they move to their next chapter of life.”
