WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Breanna Harnden, a 12th grade student at Legacy High School and the WFISD Career Education Center, won the SparkEd Scholarship at the SparkEd conference on Jan. 16.
The scholarship is awarded to local 12th-grade students who want to pursue a future in education. Harnden won one of the four awarded scholarships, which are sponsored by the DeBord Family, PBFCM and Vernon College.
In a post from WFISD’s Facebook page, the district said Harnden had earned the honor.
“Breanna’s dedication, passion, and hard work have earned her this well-deserved recognition, and we couldn’t be more proud,” later adding, “Please join us in congratulating Breanna as she takes this important step toward her dream of making a difference in the world through education. We can’t wait to see all that she will accomplish!”
