SPRINGFIELD – A decade of dedication to student success came full circle on Wednesday, March 19, as White Street Elementary School welcomed back three students, now high school seniors, who were among the first recipients of its Young Scholars Inc. scholarships.
White Street School and Young Scholars Inc. have awarded a total of $114,000 in scholarships to 38 third- and fourth- graders, inspiring them to pursue higher education. The program includes a student club where scholarship recipients visit colleges, participate in group discussions, and take part in special events designed to nurture long-term academic aspirations.
