CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Mason Mullins, a graduating senior from Washington High School, was among 29 students awarded scholarships by the Adena Health Foundation, the foundation announced. The scholarships support students pursuing careers in health care-related fields.
Mullins, who plans to study engineering/biomed, was recognized at the Hope For Our Future scholarship banquet held recently on the Adena Regional Medical Center campus. More than 200 students from 15 schools across the health system’s nine-county coverage area applied for the scholarships.
“The quality of the applicants was amazing this year,” said Laura Jo Hawk, president of the Adena Health Foundation in a statement. “These students volunteer in church, they volunteer in the community, they have jobs, and they’re involved in sports and other extracurricular activities while maintaining their academic success.”
